Cody Gakpo's powerful finish put Liverpool ahead against Manchester United in the Premier League clash at Anfield. The Dutch forward received the ball from Trent Alexander-Arnold and drove into the Manchester United penalty area. He then unleashed a low shot that beat David De Gea at his near post. Gakpo's goal was his fourth in the Premier League for Liverpool. He has now scored in each of his last three games for the club. Manchester United had a chance to equalize through Marcus Rashford, but the England international's shot was saved by Alisson Becker. Liverpool continued to dominate the match and added a second goal through Mohamed Salah in the 33rd minute. The Egyptian forward tapped in from close range after a cross from Andy Robertson. Manchester United were unable to recover from Liverpool's early dominance and conceded a third goal in the 45th minute.
